Scott is a Senior Advisor in the firm’s Commercial Business group and has over 30 years of experience in public accounting. He provides clients with multistate tax consulting, advising them on matters such as state tax compliance, due diligence, tax minimization strategies, tax credit planning, State Nexus Studies, Voluntary Disclosure Agreements, entity restructuring, and state tax controversy.
Scott’s controversy experience includes examinations and administrative appeals in numerous states with a focus on Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York. His entity restructuring experience includes the implementation of over 70 multistate tax projects for Fortune 500 clients.
As the Director of Bentley University’s Graduate Tax Program, Scott teaches corporate income tax, state and local tax, and international tax. He also teaches The Legal and Ethical Environment of Business at the graduate and undergraduate level.
Scott is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and holds a JD and an LLM in Taxation from The University of Bridgeport School of Law.
