EXPERIENCE
Laurie joined DGC in 2000 and is a Partner in the firm's Private Clients Group. Prior to working for DGC, she was a shareholder at a large regional CPA firm. Laurie has over 25 years of experience providing tax planning, consulting services and tax compliance for high net worth individuals, their families, and their businesses.
EXPERTISELaurie works closely with high net worth individuals and their advisors to provide comprehensive income tax planning and compliance services. She considers the clients’ goals and objectives as she consults on tax issues affecting their families, trusts, private foundations, and other gift, estate and investment entities.
Laurie has special expertise in dealing with international tax issues for U.S. taxpayers. She deals with expatriate compensation matters, tax reimbursement policy development, equity based compensation, and foreign tax credit planning for employees on international assignments. She is responsible for the management and coordination of major foreign national and expatriate accounts involving engagements in both the U.S. and overseas. In this capacity, Laurie works with tax advisors worldwide and coordinates global tax planning for her clients. She also works extensively with U.S. clients with international investments as well as with nonresidents and foreign nationals who have U.S. activity.
Laurie is the Practice Leader of the Private Clients Group. In this role, she oversees approximately 20 professionals and is responsible for the quality and the direction of the group. As a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, Laurie also helps steer the strategic direction of the firm.
