Waltham, MA May 6, 2011 ─ A forecast of the business climate for architectural and engineering firms, and advice for how to make the most of it, will be revealed by DiCicco, Gulman & Company LLP (DGC) of Woburn at its third annual “A&E Summit: Strategies for Success,” which will be held from 7:30 to 10 a.m., Thursday, June 9, 2011 at the Westin Waltham, 70 3rd Ave.
The summit, which attracts C-level industry leaders, will feature a panel of experts with in-depth industry knowledge, including David Sullivan, CPA, of DGC; George Christodoulo, an attorney with Lawson & Weitzen in Boston, and Ian Rusk, a valuation expert with Rusk O'Brien Guido + Partners in Maynard.
In addition to previewing results of DGC’s 2011 survey of Boston-area A&E firms, the panelists will discuss important industry benchmarks, ownership strategies that lead to long-term success, internal and external challenges relating to valuation, industry consolidation and other issues.
In spite of improving prospects for the industry, A&E firms continue to face project cancelations, a lack of financing, high unemployment, cash flow issues and heavy competition, according to Sullivan.
