DiCicco, Gulman & Company Nationally Ranked On Best Accounting Firm to Work For List Recognized in the mid-size firm ranking
Woburn, MA - December 10, 2009 - DiCicco, Gulman & Company LLP (DGC), a CPA and business consulting firm specializing in the accounting and financial matters of private companies, is proud to announce it is the only firm in Massachusetts in the mid-size category to make the annual list of "Best Accounting Firms to Work For," compiled by Accounting Today and Best Companies Group.
This survey and award program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in the accounting industry, benefiting the nation's economy, its workforce and businesses. DGC was judged against firms from across the country based on workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics, as well as employee feedback. The list is comprised of 100 companies, split into three groups: 20 small-sized companies (15-24 employees), 65 medium-sized companies (25-249 employees) 15 large-sized companies (more than 250 employees). Amongst these groups, DGC ranked 26th in the mid-size firm category.
A two-part survey process determines the Best Accounting Firms to Work For. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration, survey and analysis process and determined the final rankings.
"While taking the initial survey, I honestly couldn't think of one reason why DGC shouldn't earn a spot on the list," says James Downing, Audit Associate. "I work with some of the top people in the industry and I feel that my contributions are valued by all levels within the organization."
With recognition comes validation from a management standpoint. "We want DGC to be a place where people are excited to come to work every day knowing that they have the chance to excel professionally, while enjoying the camaraderie and respect of their colleagues," says Rick Gulman, co-founder of DGC. "Making this list just substantiates our claim that DGC really is a place where people come first."
