DGC Launches New Practice Group Strategy

Firm undergoes internal restructuring for continued industry success

Woburn, MA, February 10, 2010 - DiCicco, Gulman & Company LLP (DGC), a CPA and business advisory firm specializing in the accounting and financial matters of private companies, is pleased to announce the implementation of a new practice group structure.

This strategic move allows DGC to capitalize on dedicated teams of subject matter experts (practice groups) who are focused on service and responsiveness. By pooling resources, these practice groups draw on a "brain trust" of knowledge that promotes collaboration by integrating tax and audit. Staff members from both disciplines work together on client accounts, removing the "wall" between tax and audit that typically exists at accounting firms.

DGC concentrates on three main practice groups: Commercial Business, Private Clients, and Real Estate. The Commercial Business group focuses on private/family-owned companies, providing entrepreneurs with guidance and support through planning, transactions and even life events. The Private Clients group caters to high net worth individuals and families with sophisticated tax issues related to estate and gift, trust, and expatriate tax matters. The Real Estate group offers strategic advice to developers and owners, as well as investors. Within each practice group are teams that further specialize in industry niches such as architectural and engineering firms, nonprofit organizations, expatriate taxation, life sciences and more.

"This is the most effective way for us to service our clients," said Lenny DiCicco, Managing Partner. "Staff members from both disciplines (tax and audit) can strategize as a team and focus on the big picture rather than on independent parts of the engagement. We believe this service approach allows us to provide an even greater level of sophistication."

DGC also has a new campaign underway to promote the new practice group structure, while touting the fact that the firm works hard to develop mutually beneficial partnerships. Dubbed the "A-list campaign", it's built on the premise that success has a lot to do with the company you keep. DGC is inviting prospective clients and colleagues to join their A-list, which is explained in detail at www.dgccpa.com/a-list.

Throughout 2009, DGC demonstrated its ability to compete not only with other accounting firms, but in the marketplace in general. The firm received a Pacesetter Award from the Boston Business Journal and made the publication's Top 100 Private Businesses list in addition to being voted one of Accounting Today's "Best Accounting Firms to Work For." As DGC moves into the upcoming year, they look for continued success in a changing industry.
