 EXPERIENCE
Don is a Partner in the firm’s Real Estate group with nearly 30 years of experience. Prior to joining the firm, Don held the positions of director, principal, and partner at large regional and international firms.
EXPERTISE
Don has extensive accounting, auditing, consulting and income tax experience. He works with a wide range of clients, including real estate developers, syndicators, investors and service providers, construction companies, manufacturers, franchisors and wholesale distributors. Don specializes in advising clients in the structuring of real estate transactions, including the acquisition, disposition and financing of real estate partnerships and limited liability companies. He has been a speaker at real estate and construction related programs presented by numerous organizations. He is involved on a local and regional basis in training and quality review programs. He also provides litigation support services in real estate and construction-related disputes and litigation.
Don also has extensive experience advising and auditing employee benefit plans for companies in a number of different industries. He specializes in advising plan sponsors and assisting in the identification and resolution of design and operational issues of employee benefit plans. This includes working with plan counsel and other advisors, as well as correspondence and meetings with representatives of the Department of Labor at the local and national level.
Don is the Practice Leader of the Real Estate Group. In this role, he oversees approximately 30 professionals and is responsible for the quality and the direction of the group. As a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, Don also helps steer the strategic direction of the firm.
