ACCOUNTING AND AUDITING
Associates have a college degree in accounting or related business field and have up to three years experience. As a first year staff, you will assist in the preparation of financial statements for clients, as well as be involved in individual, corporate, partnership and trust taxation. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a desire to learn.
Senior Audit Associates have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, three years audit experience in a public accounting firm, excellent analytical skills, business judgment and communications skills and the ability to establish relationships with clients. Responsibilities in this position include performing audit work while supervising and reviewing the work of associates, and interacting closely with the client personnel as well as the management of DiCicco, Gulman & Company. Senior associates are also responsible for individual, corporate, partnership and trust taxation engagements.
Managers have at least seven years of public accounting experience and a CPA license. Responsibilities include directing several engagements simultaneously, while training staff and maintaining contact with assigned clients. Managers should be technically proficient and possess outstanding leadership, mentoring, supervisory and business development skills. Managers also assist in firm administrative functions as assigned by partners.
TAX
Senior Tax Associates have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, three years tax experience in a public accounting firm, excellent analytical skills, business judgment and communications skills and the ability to establish relationships with clients. Responsibilities in this position include performing tax work for individual, corporate, partnership and trust taxation engagements, while supervising and reviewing the work of associates, and interacting closely with the client personnel as well as the management of DiCicco, Gulman & Company.
Managers have six to nine years of public accounting experience, a CPA license and an advanced degree is preferred. Tax managers have experience with S corps, C Corps, Partnerships, LLCs, trusts and high net worth individuals. Responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of client service, research, compliance and engagement management. Tax managers demonstrate the ability to render high level tax advice to closely-held businesses and high net worth individuals.
OPERATIONS
Tax Control Assistant is responsible for the following areas:
- Assemble tax returns and extensions for various types of returns, including the use of online and other research tools to determine various federal and state filing requirements
- Assist Tax Control Coordinator with electronic tax filing system
- Maintenance of XCM - our virtual client tracking system
- Review scan of tax return originals and scanning of the same
- Maintain database of all our clients, the forms they file and each forms' due date which includes:
- Monitoring deadlines to ensure due dates are met
- Printing and creating reports from the database
- Assist Tax Control Coordinator with mass mailing for firm of annual tax organizers and business information requests, which the clients use to gather their tax information
- Interface with staff, clients and vendors regarding various tax software products
- Preparation and review of Forms 1099 and W-2
- Set up of new clients in various database programs
- General administrative tasks and projects
- Potential for growth into a promising career as firm grows and duties increase
